A Christmas product page has to answer two questions a normal product page never hears: will it arrive by the 25th, and is it the right present? The two Shopify examples below answer both before the shopper scrolls. One sells an engraved leather wallet as a gift set, the other sells flameless real-wax candles in sets for every room. Each one leads with an order-by date, sells a set instead of a single item, and turns a paid extra into a free gift for December.

Both pages start from the same premise: a Christmas gift shopper is racing a calendar and staring at a blank card more often than hunting for the lowest price. Below you’ll find each page’s exact prices, what changes for Christmas, what stays, how its order-by date lines up with the 2026 carrier deadlines, and the Kaching Bundles settings behind the offer:

  • Fairbend, an engraved leather bifold sold as a Christmas gift set (Kaching Bundle Upsell, complete the set).
  • Little Fib, real-wax LED pillar candles sold one, two or three sets at a time, a wax color per set (Kaching Quantity Break with a variant per set).

The short version: 7 things that make a Christmas product page sell

  1. Lead with a delivery date, not a discount. “Order by Dec 10 for delivery by the 25th” answers the first Christmas question before it’s asked.
  2. Work the order-by date backward from your carrier. Start from the carrier’s last recommended send date, then subtract your production, proof and packing days.
  3. Make a paid gift extra free, and tick it for them. Gift wrap that costs $5 all year becomes free and pre-selected on every bundle in December.
  4. Sell a finished set, not a pile of units. A wallet with its key fob and tray, or candles grouped by the spot they will light, looks like a complete present.
  5. Let every item in the set carry its own choice. A leather per piece or a wax color per set, each landing in the cart as its own line.
  6. Carry the personal part all the way to checkout. Initials typed once should reappear in the photo, the sticky bar and the cart line.
  7. Admit the one flaw before the shopper finds it. “We lied about one thing: the flame” earns more trust than hoping nobody looks closely.

Example 1: Fairbend, a personalized Christmas gift page

Fairbend Christmas product page example: a pine-green page with an oxblood ribbon drawn across a gift box photo, the headline "A gift he'll still carry next Christmas" and the CRO breakdown panel

Fairbend sells a leather bifold with his initials pressed into the front corner and a hidden note of up to 40 characters under the bill fold. In December a made-to-order gift lives or dies on two things: whether the engraving can still make the 25th, and whether the giver can think of what to write. The Christmas version works on both and barely mentions a percentage.

The Christmas layer

  • The workshop palette, deepened into an evening. Parchment turns pine green (#1B2E24), the cards stay cream like presents on a dark table, brass (#C9A35A) marks the selected bar, and oxblood (#8E2335) colors the buttons and the ribbons drawn in CSS across the photos. No new red-and-green paint job.
  • A date above the fold. The top bar reads “Christmas gift sets, engraved by hand and wrapped free”, and the buy box adds “Order by Dec 10 for delivery by the 25th”.
  • An honest timer. “Today’s engraving slots close in…” counts down to the real daily cut-off, because the workshop engraves one batch each morning. The page has no low-stock line in either version, since nothing is made in advance.
  • The same deal, edited for December. Every bar drops: $49 → $44, $58 → $52, $82 → $72. The stamp on bar 2 changes from “most gifted” to “under the tree”.
  • Gift wrap becomes the gift. All year, “Gift wrap: kraft box, oxblood ribbon, a blank card +$5” is an unticked extra. For Christmas it reads “$5 free” and is already ticked on every bar.
  • A popup that sells time, not a code. The everyday form offers 10% off. The Christmas form offers a reminder two days before the last engraving day plus free rush engraving, so no extra percent lands on a sale price.

Price ladder: everyday vs Christmas

Bundle barWhat’s in itEverydayChristmasCrossed-out
The bifoldBifold$49$44, gift wrap free$49
The gift set (preselected)Bifold + key fob$58$52, gift wrap free$68
The full carryBifold + key fob + valet tray + free Care Tin ($12)$82$72, gift wrap free$103

The crossed-out number is the sum of each item’s everyday price, which is how Kaching shows a Bundle Upsell; flip the demo to Everyday and $68 stays put while $52 returns to $58. Each piece picks its own leather (Chestnut, Espresso or Black) at no change in price.

What December leaves alone

Below the buy box, both versions match:

  • Where it hides. The giver types his initials and a note and sees them land on a drawn wallet: initials in the front corner, the note under the bill fold.
  • The notes wall. Notes other customers engraved, filtered by who the gift is for. Tapping one copies it into the order with “Change any word.”
  • The seam test. A “Cut one thread” switch shows a machine lock-stitch losing 23 stitches while the hand saddle-stitch loses none.
  • The proof. The FAQ follows one order from start to finish: a proof is emailed before the laser touches the leather, and nothing is engraved until the giver replies yes.
  • The guarantee. Free re-stitching for as long as he carries it, and one free remake within 30 days.

The engraving fields sit above the bundle widget and, in a live store, are Shopify line-item properties added in the theme rather than a Kaching setting (Shopify: product template and line item properties). Typed once, the initials reappear on a gallery tile, in the sticky add-to-cart bar and on the cart line (“Chestnut · RJT · note added”).

Initials typed once land on the drawing and again in the sticky bar.

The cart: $52 to $70, initials on every line

Adding the gift set opens a Kaching Cart drawer that leads with “Last engraving day for the 25th: Dec 10”. Free shipping is already unlocked at $50, the gift wrap line shows as free, and one recommended add-on fits the gift: a solid brass money clip for $18. One tap takes the order from $52 to $70.

What to skip

The “sent back” section shows three wallets customers mailed back after 4 months, 3 years and 9 years of use. Copy it only if real customers have carried your product that long and agreed to a photo; staged “aged” photos are the one claim on the page a buyer can’t check.

Set it up in Kaching

  • Bundle Upsell with three bars (the bifold, the gift set, the full carry), a fixed dollar discount on each item, the gift set preselected.
  • Product cards side by side joined by “+”, a leather swatch per piece, gift wrap and rush engraving as add-ons on every bar.
  • For Christmas, edit the same deal: lower the prices, set the gift wrap add-on to $0 and selected by default, and relabel the stamp (Kaching help: add an upsell to your deal bar).

For picking which products belong in a set, see how to choose products to bundle on Shopify.

Example 2: Little Fib, Christmas decorations sold by the set

Little Fib Christmas product page example: a red storybook banner with the script "Merry Christmas", the headline "Every window lit, no matches", a drawn gingerbread man, Santa and penguin, and the CRO breakdown panel

Little Fib sells a trio of real-wax pillars with an LED inside and a remote with a daily timer. People decorate a house for Christmas, not a shelf, so the page sells sets, gives every set its own wax color (Snow, Oat, Juniper or Cranberry), and owns up to the one fake thing about the product before the shopper spots it.

The Christmas layer

  • A storybook shop window. The banner turns Christmas red (#D42A2F) with a white cloud edge, a script “Merry Christmas” and flat drawings of a gingerbread man, Santa and a penguin, built from the brand’s own red and evergreen, turned up. It’s a deliberate exception to the library’s no-clipart habit, showing the playful end of the range.
  • A headline about the house, not the candle. “Every window lit, no matches”, with a new gallery photo of a set on a snowy windowsill at dusk.
  • Christmas prices on every set. $39 → $34, $68 → $58, $93 → $82, with red “Save 13%”, “Save 26%” and “Save 30%” labels.
  • A gift counted per set. Bars 2 and 3 add a free Pine Ring, a faux-pine ring with berries that sits around a pillar’s base, for every set: 2 rings ($24 value) or 3 rings ($36 value). The everyday widget has no gift at all.
  • A section that only exists in December. A green band, “Four ready sets, one for every spot”, offers The window (1 set, Snow, $34), The mantel (2 sets, Cranberry + Snow, $58), The table (2 sets, Juniper + Snow, $58) and Every room (3 sets plus 3 Pine Rings, $82). Each “light this set” button loads that set into the widget, and the band disappears in the Everyday version.
  • A timer that only the demo resets. “Hurry up! Deals end in…” restarts each midnight so the demo never runs out of countdown. A live store should count to its real order-by date instead.
  • A popup that removes the shipping fee instead. Everyday visitors get 10% off. In December the offer is free shipping on a single set, the one bar that sits under the $50 free-shipping line.

Price ladder: everyday vs Christmas

Bundle barEverydayChristmasCrossed-outChristmas gift
1 set$39$34$39none
2 sets (preselected)$68$58$782 Pine Rings ($24 value)
3 sets$93$82$1173 Pine Rings ($36 value)

Every crossed-out figure is the set count × the everyday $39. Changing a set’s wax color never changes the price, and in the cart each set becomes its own line with its color (“Set 1 Cranberry”, “Set 2 Snow”).

What December leaves alone

  • The one fib. “We lied about one thing: the flame.” Three chips (the sofa, the doorway, your nose) zoom in until the flame shows for what it is: a flat amber light 12 mm down, ringed by real wax.
  • Lit when you get home. Type the time you get home and a drawn house shows the windows already lit when you walk in, off at 11 pm, about 75 evenings on two AAs.
  • The cat test. “What if the cat knocks it over?” A vote on the usual culprit (the cat wins) next to a counter that reads “fires so far: 0”.
  • The rules. A table of six places that ban open flames, from rentals and dorms to hotels, offices, care homes and nurseries, each with where a set can go instead.
  • The guarantee. 60 nights to send them back used, two years on the light, timer and remote.
Little Fib section We lied about one thing: the flame, with three lit pillars beside a sofa and sofa, doorway and nose chips
Three distance chips let shoppers walk closer until the fake flame shows.

The cart: $58 to $80, with the add-on sized to the gap

The cart drawer has two milestones: free shipping at $50 and a free tealight 6-pack ($14 value) at $80. With two sets at $58, the bar reads “Order by Dec 18 for the 25th” with $22 to go, and the first add-on is a Taper Pair at exactly $22. One tap takes the order to $80 and unlocks the tealights: price the add-on to close the gap, and the reward does the selling.

At $58 the bar shows $22 to go, and a Taper Pair leads the slider.

What to skip

The “shuffle them” section lets shoppers drag the pillars into new arrangements, which only works because the set has three heights. If your pieces are all one size, leave it out.

Set it up in Kaching

  • Quantity Break, three bars (1, 2 and 3 sets) at fixed prices, bar 2 preselected, and “Let customers choose different variants for each item” switched on so each set gets a wax swatch (Kaching help: customize bundle variant dropdowns).
  • Horizontal tiles, a “house favorite” badge on bar 2, a spare-batteries add-on on every bar.
  • For Christmas, edit the same deal’s prices and labels and add the Pine Ring as a free gift on bars 2 and 3. The ready-sets band is a theme section, not part of Kaching: in a live store its buttons scroll to the widget, where the shopper picks the colors.

For how to space the bars in a set-based offer, read spacing quantity break tiers so they stay profitable.

Christmas shipping deadlines 2026: how to set your order-by date

An order-by date is only useful if it’s true, so work it out backward from the day a parcel has to leave. USPS recommends these send-by dates for delivery before December 25, 2026, within the contiguous United States (USPS 2026 holiday shipping deadlines):

USPS serviceLast recommended send date
USPS Ground AdvantageThursday, December 17
First-Class MailThursday, December 17
Priority MailFriday, December 18
Priority Mail ExpressSaturday, December 19

USPS calls these recommendations, not guarantees, and lists no single Ground Advantage date for Alaska and Hawaii. UPS and FedEx publish their own year-end schedules, so check the service you actually use (UPS holiday schedule).

The formula: your order-by date = the carrier’s last send date − your production days − your proof or approval time − one day of handling.

  • Made to order (Fairbend). “Order by Dec 10” leaves a full week before USPS’s December 17 Ground Advantage date for the emailed proof, the giver’s reply, the engraving queue and packing. Rush engraving ($6, shipped the next working day) moves the cut-off to December 14: an order on Monday the 14th ships on Tuesday the 15th, still two days ahead of the ground date.
  • Shipped from stock (Little Fib). The demo prints “Order by Dec 18”. Against the 2026 USPS dates, that only holds if a December 18 order leaves the same day by Priority Mail, because December 18 is Priority Mail’s last recommended send date. If you ship by Ground Advantage, set the line to December 16, one day ahead of USPS’s December 17.

Show the date near the price, in the cart drawer’s top line and in a reminder email two days before it passes. Once it has passed, replace the line with what still arrives in time, such as faster shipping or a gift card.

Christmas product page checklist

  • An order-by date near the price, worked out from your carrier’s 2026 send-by date.
  • A Christmas look that comes from your own palette or voice: deepened for a craft brand, storybook for a playful one.
  • Every bundle bar on its Christmas price, with crossed-out prices that are your real everyday prices.
  • One gift extra made free and pre-ticked (gift wrap, a ring per set), instead of a deeper percent.
  • Sets named after a person or a place, each item with its own variant choice.
  • Personalization fields above the widget, with a preview and the text repeated on the cart line.
  • At most one urgency cue, counting to a real deadline: the daily engraving batch, the order-by date or the end of the sale.
  • A cart add-on that completes the gift or closes the gap to the next reward.
  • Everyday settings recorded, so you can edit the deal back after the 25th.

FAQ

What should a Christmas product page show above the fold?

The product, the Christmas price of the preselected set, and an order-by date for delivery by December 25. Timing is a gift shopper’s first worry, so the date belongs next to the price, not on a shipping policy page.

When is the last day to ship for Christmas delivery in 2026?

USPS recommends sending by December 17 for Ground Advantage and First-Class Mail, December 18 for Priority Mail and December 19 for Priority Mail Express, within the contiguous US. These are recommendations, not guarantees. Your customers’ order-by date must come earlier, by however many days you need to make and pack the order.

How do I set a Christmas cut-off date for personalized or engraved products?

Count backward from your carrier’s last send date and subtract production, proof approval and packing time. Fairbend’s demo prints December 10 for standard orders, a week before USPS’s December 17 ground date, and December 14 with paid rush engraving, which ships the next working day.

Should I offer a discount or a free gift for Christmas?

Lower the price a little and let a free gift carry the season. Fairbend makes its $5 gift wrap free and pre-ticked; Little Fib adds a free Pine Ring for every set from two sets up. On the demos’ assumed costs, the worst Christmas order, with an old 10% code stacked on top, still keeps about 51–52% gross margin. For the trade-off in numbers, read when a free gift beats a discount.

How do I add engraving or personalization fields to a Shopify product page?

Add them as line-item properties in your theme: inputs inside the product form named like properties[Initials], which Shopify carries to the cart and the order. In the Fairbend demo the two fields (3 initials and a 40-character note) sit above the Kaching widget and are not a Kaching setting.

Should Christmas décor be sold one piece at a time or in sets?

In sets, named after the place they will go. Little Fib sells 1, 2 or 3 sets with a wax color per set, plus four ready-made sets for the window, the mantel, the table and every room.

Are these Christmas templates free to use?

The two demo pages are free to open, with a short breakdown of every section and the Kaching settings behind each bundle. They are references, not installable themes: you recreate the bundle in Kaching and the sections in your theme.
